Universal DVD Player

The universal DVD player came to market about five years ago and created a lot of buzz in the market place. These players initially played any type of DVD on the market. They also played CDs including the new SACD discs which featured audiophile sound quality.

A newer universal DVD player now plays Blu-ray discs as well. This allows them to play the latest high end movie discs. Blu-ray discs feature the best sound and picture quality.

High end companies like Denon and Oppo manufacture the universal DVD player. The players can cost as much as $3000. However, entry-level players start at approximately $400-$500.
