DVD Players

DVD players have made VHS players obsolete. They feature better picture quality and better sound quality. In addition, they can be hooked up to a Dolby Digital receiver for discrete channel surround sound.

Movie fans love DVD players because the discs are capable of holding so much data. They can store so much data that a viewer can see a movie in a widescreen format or in standard screen format. In addition, a DVD also can play a movie in more than one language.

DVD players are sold at different price points. The most inexpensive player is an off-brand product that sells for approximately $20-$30. More expensive players play Blu-ray discs and start at approximately $150.
