A dual DVD player can also refer to a type of DVD player that is installed in the car. This DVD player gets its name because it has two monitors. Having more than one monitor allows occupants in the backseat to occupy themselves in different ways.

Passengers in a car equipped with a dual DVD player can watch different movies at the same time. In addition some of these players allow passengers to play a videogame on one screen and watch a movie on the other screen. These players also allow passengers to share MP3s, JPEGs and CDs as well.
